Kindling did not need more channels. They needed one place where a project’s decisions, files and owners stayed visible after the meeting ended.
Challenge
Tools were multiplying. Context was not.
Chat, docs and task boards each held a fragment. New people joined a project and spent a week reconstructing what had already been decided.

Approach
We cut features that created noise. If a view did not help someone do the next useful thing, it did not ship in the first version.
Outcome
The studio still uses other tools. Northstar is where they look when they need the current story of a project, not the loudest thread.
